Billing and Refund Policy

This policy applies together with relevant laws, terms of use, privacy policy, and individual product terms displayed on the payment screen. If the price, scope of offer, access period, or promotional conditions of an individual product are displayed differently from this policy, the content displayed on the payment screen at the time of payment will take precedence.

1. Scope of application

This policy applies to paid digital content and digital services provided by BRAIN LAB web services.

This may include, for example, viewing ADHD analysis test scores, detailed reports, results confirmation pages, and one-time analysis results or reports available through dedicated access links.

2. Nature of product and timing of fulfillment

Some of BRAIN LAB's paid products are one-time digital content or digital services that are provided immediately after payment or within a short period of time after payment.

In this policy, supply or fulfillment of an order is deemed to have begun when any of the following occurs, to the extent permitted by applicable law:

Full or substantial performance of an order may be deemed complete when the key deliverables (e.g. scores, results pages, detailed reports) ordered first become technically accessible.

  • When ordered scores, results, analyzes or reports are generated and delivered or displayed to your user account, browser, device or email.
  • When a dedicated link, access URL, token or download means for checking the results has been issued and becomes technically available.
  • When a user actually accesses, views, downloads or streams a results page or report

3. Prices, currencies, taxes and exchange rates

Unless otherwise specified, payments are processed in USD (United States Dollars).

For the High-IQ Adult ADHD test currently offered on this site, the reference product prices are as follows.

If the local currency equivalent or estimated converted amount is displayed on the payment screen, this is only a reference value for user convenience, and the actual amount charged may vary depending on the exchange rate at the time of payment, the standard exchange rate of the card company or payment method provider, overseas payment fees, taxes, and other charges.

If required by law or indicated on the payment screen, VAT, GST, sales tax or similar taxes may be included in the total payment amount or may be charged separately.

Promotional prices, discount percentages, currency denominations, bundle terms, and country-specific displayed prices may vary without prior notice depending on time period, region, channel, user terms, or experiment settings.

  • High-IQ Adult ADHD test score purchase: USD 1.35
  • High-IQ Adult ADHD detailed report purchase: USD 8.00

4. Payment establishment and billing criteria

When the User clicks a payment button (e.g. “Access”, “Pay Now”, “Complete Purchase”, or similar button) and the payment is approved, the User is deemed to have submitted an order for which he or she is obligated to pay for that order.

Payments may be processed through PayPal, Braintree, or any other payment method displayed on the payment screen.

If payment is not completed due to authorization failure, authentication failure, security review failure, or refusal by the payment method provider, the order will not be established.

We do not directly control the approval, settlement, refund reflection, security review or internal policies of credit card companies, PayPal, Braintree, other payment agencies or financial institutions.

5. Access period

Unless otherwise specified, the default access period for the inspection score access page and detailed reports is 3 months from the time of payment.

This access period is only a viewing period for your convenience and does not constitute a recurring product or regular subscription. There is no separate refund right simply because the user did not view the results within the access period. However, exceptions may be made in cases where access is not possible due to our technical fault.

6. Request for immediate implementation and notice regarding cancellation/withdrawal rights

If the user purchases digital content or digital services provided immediately after payment, the user may agree to or confirm the following during the payment process.

Any rights that may not be permitted by applicable law to be waived or limited are not excluded by this section.

  • that you request immediate provision of the digital content or digital service you ordered;
  • To the extent permitted by relevant laws, once supply or performance begins, the right to cancel, withdraw subscription, or simply change one's mind and refund the order may be limited or extinguished.

7. Reasons for refund

Customers may request a full refund within 14 days from the date of payment.

Subject to applicable laws or terms notified at the time of payment, we may provide a full or partial refund, re-provision, extension of access period, corrective action or other appropriate relief if the following reasons are confirmed:

After receiving a refund request, we may review order history, payment authorization information, access records, delivery records, technical failures, communication history, etc.

  • In case of duplicate payments or obvious billing errors for the same order
  • If the ordered content or service is not provided within a reasonable period of time due to our technical problems despite the payment being approved.
  • If the provided content or service is significantly inconsistent with the description on the payment screen, or if there is a functional defect or inaccessibility due to our fault.
  • When abnormal or unauthorized payments, such as unauthorized use by a third party, are confirmed through objective data
  • In cases where refund, reduction, reperformance, contract cancellation, or similar relief is required under other relevant laws and regulations

8. Cases where refunds are limited or impossible

Unless otherwise required by applicable law, refunds may be limited or not provided in the following cases:

  • You simply change your mind after the ordered results, reports, access links, results confirmation pages or other core content have already been created, delivered, activated, displayed or technically accessible.
  • Request for refund based solely on subjective dissatisfaction with the result itself, even though the product was provided as described on the payment screen
  • If the user did not check the results within the access period or missed the viewing period due to the user's own circumstances
  • If the issue is caused by a problem with the user's device, browser, network, email settings, or third party service environment, and is not our fault.
  • If a user purchases the same or similar product repeatedly, but internal review shows that it is not a duplicate processing error in the payment system
  • Refund requests based solely on exchange rate fluctuations, foreign transaction fees, credit card company fees, PayPal fees, or differences in financial institution fees

9. Payment failure, duplicate payment, and abnormal payment

In case of payment failure, the order will not be established. Users can try again with a different payment method.

If we determine that multiple payments for the same order are made due to system errors, duplicate clicks, network delays, or similar reasons, we may issue refunds, cancellations, or corrections after an internal review.

If an abnormal payment is suspected, such as impersonation of another person, account takeover, or payment method theft, the user must immediately report it to the payment method issuer or PayPal and also report it to our support center. During the investigation, we may ask you to submit your order number, payment date and time, payment receipt, partial payment method information, identification information, or other reasonably necessary materials.

10. Refund method and processing period

If a refund is approved, in principle, the refund will be made back to the original payment method. However, if the original payment method is unavailable, there are legal restrictions, payment service provider policies, or technical reasons, we may use alternative methods to the extent permitted by law.

After a refund is approved, the actual refund reflection time may vary depending on the processing schedule of the card company, PayPal, Braintree, payment agency, or financial institution.

11. Disputes, Appeals and Chargebacks

Users may first report issues to our support center before filing a dispute. After confirming the facts, our company will proceed with the mediation process within a reasonable range.

If you initiate a PayPal dispute, card chargeback, or other payment dispute proceeding, such proceeding may be subject to additional rules of the relevant card network, payment provider, PayPal, Braintree, or financial institution.

In order to respond to invalid or unfair disputes, we may submit related materials such as order records, payment approval records, access logs, transmission records, user consent records, device and connection information, and customer response records.

For orders for which a dispute or chargeback has been filed, access to the content or account may be restricted until investigation and settlement are completed. No duplicate refunds or double recoveries are allowed for the same order.

12. Regular payment (subscription)

Currently, products for which there are no separate instructions are provided as a one-time payment method.

When a regular payment (subscription) product is introduced, key details such as payment cycle, automatic renewal, payment amount, cancellation method, and pre-renewal notice conditions are notified in advance on the payment screen or in a separate agreement.

13. Mandatory laws take precedence

Nothing in this policy shall be construed as excluding or reducing rights that cannot be excluded or restricted under mandatory consumer protection laws, e-commerce laws, digital content-related laws, or payment regulations applicable to users.

If stronger consumer protection applies due to the regulations of the user's residence or payment method provider, the applicable mandatory provisions take precedence to that extent.

14. Standards and Dispute Resolution

Disputes related to payment or refund will first be verified and adjusted through the support center.

Other applicable laws, jurisdiction, language priority, and interpretation of the Terms and Conditions shall follow the relevant provisions of the Terms of Use.
